1 February 2018, Hong Kong: The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (Federation) organized the “Samsung 2017 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards” Luncheon today for the media to vote for their favourite athletes/teams in the four categories, namely “Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards”, “Hong Kong Junior Sports Stars Awards”, “Hong Kong Sports Stars Award for Team Only Sport” and “Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards for Team Event”. The luncheon also served as a means of conveying the Federation’s thanks and appreciation to the sport editors and reporters for their continuous support to the Hong Kong Sports Stars Award since 2000.

The public could visit the official website at https://sportstar2017.hkolympic.org to cast their votes on or before 14 February 2018. All successful voters would have a chance to win prizes with a total value of over HK$70,000 sponsored by Samsung and Fitness First (Hong Kong) (Trade Promotion Competition Licence no.: 49888, 49889). Result of the Awards would be announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Tuesday, 27 March 2018 at the Grand Hall of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
